What We Do
Bid and event management.
The sports commission works locally, regionally, nationally and internationally with event organizers in the areas of site/facilities selection, budget development, development of local organizing committees, and event management oversight. Additionally, the sports commission has successfully developed and managed a number of unique sports-related entertainment events.
We can act as liaison with city, county and state officials, and local agencies.
We are well positioned to provide events with a broad range of valuable support services, including: convention services in coordination with local convention and visitor bureaus, volunteers, transportation logistics, special arrangements with area attractions, advance planning with emergency medical services (EMS), application for and securing of permits, and assistance with event security and local law enforcement coordination.
We can assist your organization with all aspects of hospitality coordination and entertainment.
Public relations and communications.
The sports commission can assist with media coordination and relations, press conferences, and formal presentations.
We have extensive expertise in the areas of event sponsorship and cause-related sports marketing. Let us assist you with event naming and rights negotiation, proposal and bid preparation, and formal presentations.
Sports-related business relocations.
The sports commission is the perfect resource for planning and coordination of site visits, local market “windshield” surveys, fund-raising efforts, demographic studies, and bid development.
The sports commission team maintains excellent relations with Central Florida sports facility management, hotels and resorts, and meeting facilities. We can give you a significant head start and substantially increase your odds of a successful event experience by assisting you with identification, cooperation and coordination with facilities.
